do a write up of Bangbao, sure it's nice and the views are great, but as you'll
see the days of it being a fishing village chock full of local people doing
local things have long passed.

Chang Elephant Camp
The welcome sight of a new 7-11 greets weary travellers at the entrance of this sleepy, traditional, fishing village. Looking acrosss from Bangbao Sea Huts towards the pier. Traditional t-sirt vendors and souvenir shell hawkers line the thoroughfare. Beats fishing for a living. The place to go for lunch and/or to throw things in the water for 'Si Fa', a labrador, to jump in and retrieve. Snorkelling boats moored on the pier. (Says it all really.) The beginning of the end is in sight . . . . a car ferry converted to carry 300 snorkellers and deposit them on top of an island reef. Avoid at all costs. Now this is nice. A teak wood house built the traditional way right down to the wooden shingles. Looking back towards the village from the end of the pier. Looking through Ocean Blue guesthouse, located at the far end of the pier. Looking across the bay from the pier.
