The Beaches

Bangbao & Klong Kloi Beach Photos

I’m in the process of updating the Island Guide section of the site so have been taking a few new photos whilst wandering around. As you can see it’s pretty quiet at the moment ( mid October ) but this will soon change – especially on Klong Kloi Beach which in the space of a few years has gone from being a deserted strip of sand to a developed beach complete with accommodation, beach bars and restaurants.  That’s not necessarily bad news and it is a good place for a day out on Koh Chang, but the rows of deckchairs might not be to everyone’s taste. But walk along the beach  a couple of hundred metres and it does get quieter. Meanwhile in Bangbao fishing village, it’s business as usual – souvenir shops, seafood restaurants, diving and boat trips.  And if you’re lucky you may even spot  a fisherman.
