What is TaiChi (TaiJi) ?
TaiChi, also known as Taiji, is an ancient Chinese martial art that has evolved into a low-impact, slow-moving exercise that promotes relaxation, balance, and inner peace. It’s a holistic practice that combines gentle movements, deep breathing, and meditation to cultivate a sense of calm and well-being. The slow and flowing movements of TaiChi are designed to promote balance and coordination, while also strengthening the body’s internal energy, or “qi.”
TaiChi is often described as a “moving meditation” because it requires focus and awareness of the body’s movements, breath, and energy. As you practice TaiChi, you’ll begin to feel a sense of calm and clarity, as if your mind and body are becoming more connected and harmonious. Regular practice can also help to reduce stress and anxiety, improve balance and flexibility, and even alleviate symptoms of chronic conditions such as arthritis and fibromyalgia.
But TaiChi is more than just a physical exercise – it’s also a spiritual practice that can help you connect with your inner self and the world around you. By cultivating a sense of calm and inner peace, you’ll be better equipped to handle life’s challenges and make more informed decisions. TaiChi is also a great way to improve your overall health and well-being, reducing the risk of chronic diseases and promoting a sense of vitality and energy. Whether you’re looking to reduce stress, improve your physical health, or simply feel more connected to yourself and the world around you, TaiChi is an option worth exploring.
Introducing Thai G Hub
Thai G Hub was founded by Guillem Bernadó who discovered Taiji at a young age but didn’t fully commit to it until his mid-20s. In 2005 he met influential teacher, Patrick Kelly and has since followed his teachings and helped teach them to others through their own school in Spain and Patrick’s school in Shanghai. In 2020, he launched an online platform, TaijiStream, to support Taiji teachings.
In 2023, after 7 years in China, he moved to Koh Chang to create The ThaiG Hub, a retreat center where teachers can share their knowledge and both beginners and experienced practitioners can study.
ThaiG Hub is located in Klong Prao village and is dedicated to sharing the authentic essence of Taiji with locals and visitors alike, helping them cultivate a lifelong practice that nourishes body, mind, and spirit.
There are regular classes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 to 10am. And the doors are open to locals and visitors alike. Anyone who is interested in learning more about TaiChi is welcome to join them for a free demo class to experience Taiji for themselves. The ThaiG Hub approach is rooted in traditional methods, but infused with a modern twist that makes it accessible to everyone.

Western-style treatments provide an energetic reading, offering valuable insights to help you better understand yourself. On the other hand, traditional Japanese Reiki sessions focus on detecting byosen (toxin lines), allowing you to tap into your own inner wisdom and guidance through your dreams, experiences, and daily interactions.
Which Reiki Approach is Right for You?
If you’re unsure which approach to try, don’t worry! Thai G Hub recommends experiencing both to fully appreciate the benefits of Reiki. By trying both Western and traditional Japanese Reiki, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of this powerful healing modality and unlock its full potential.
