You know how much you enjoy going round to a friend’s house and having them cook you dinner just the way you like it and enjoying a friendly chat. That’s easy to do when you are home, and enjoyable so long as you have friend’s who can actually cook well. But it isn’t something you tend to do whilst on holiday, simply because you cant really wander into someone’s house and ask them to cook you a meal and even if they did the conversation is unlikely to be stimulating.
But now you can. A neat little idea from English/Thai couple who live on the Klong Prao river estuary, a couple of hundred metres from us. Their six table restaurant, Sea Breeze, with an open kitchen allows you to enjoy a private meal in friendly company and see first hand how your favourite Thai dishes are prepared. Regular dishes can be ordered there and then but advance notice is required if you want the slap up seafood platter for two (a large selection of crabs, fish, prawns, squid etc all cooked the way you like them best for only 1,500 Baht ) – as this will be bought fresh for you.
As Nick, the owner, also has his own boat you can arrive late afternoon, order your food and he’ll take you out for 45 minute sunset cruise to the islands offshore before returning to the restaurant to eat dinner. This for an additional 500 baht/person.
Or if you’d like to see if you can catch your own dinner a fishing trip can be arranged for 1,200 Baht/person, minimum 2 and maximum 4 people.

This place is must after a good night out all we wanted was a big English fry up and that’s just what we had. The cook and boss yes Nick the boss did us proud every day and even took us on a shopping trip to Bang Boa. Thanks again and we will be back for some fishing on that boat of yours Nick.
