KC Grande Resort & Spa is one of the most popular resorts on the island. It’s also one of the largest. In total, there are over 200 rooms and villas.

The beachfront ‘Seaside’ hotel blocks house the ‘Seaview Deluxe’, ‘Deluxe Garden’ and ‘Grand Delux Sea View’ rooms in a three floor block set back from the huge lagoon pool.  The pool opens  directly onto the beach.   Another smaller beachfront pool is located about 100 metres north near the beach villas.

Although there are a lot of rooms, there’s also plenty of beachfront for kids to play on without getting under the feet of other guests. It’s an ideal resort for families or couples.

In early 2013 , two more hotel blocks opened  situated on the inland side of the main road.  These also have their own swimming pools – one being on the rooftop.  A very nice spot to sunbathe or have a drink at sunset.  It’s also usually quiet and with relatively few kids. In these blocks you’ll find the ‘Ocean View’, ‘Pool Access’ and ‘Pool View’ rooms.

By the beach, just north of the main pool is where you’ll find KC Grande’s ‘Paradise Villas‘.   If you want to splash out on a luxury beachfront bungalow then this is the place to book on Koh Chang.  There’s also another pool in this area of the resort.  (That’s four pools so far.)

Facilities include all the usual stuff you expect a 4 star resort to have e.g a kid’s club, beach massage, kayak and SUP hire and a poolside gym.

Buffet breakfast is at The Beach Restaurant – a large restaurant . .  right by the beach.   The rooms are all well away from the nearest loud bars, but just walk 2 minutes down the beach and you can have your pick of beachfront restaurants and bars at which to dine and down cocktails. The nearest 7-eleven is by the entrance of the resort.

Definitely recommended. But be aware this is a very large resort and during the busiest times of year, from Christmas until late February, it might be too full and crowded for some. It won’t be an ideal place to stay if peace and quiet are a prerequisite.

On the flip side, it’s on a great beach; there’s a good range of rooms to suit different budgets and with four pools you can usually find a place to escape from noisy kids.

If you can afford it, the beachfront ‘Paradise’ villas are among the best accommodation, in terms of location and amenities, that you’ll find on the island.  While the roadside rooms offer all the home comforts without paying a premium for being by the beach.

However, if White sand beach is too touristy for you or the resort too large, try smaller resorts such as The Chill or Gajapuri Resort both in Kai Bae.

Fantastic stay! 😀 - Perfect beach, big and nice pool, 5star breakfast! 😞 - Close to shops, but a bit far from Center
Tiptop 😀 - Perfect Villa right on the most beautiful beach, protected by some Palmtrees. Everything very clean and well taken care of, great breakfast. I recommend to stay here 😞 - It is a really big resort with lots of people, the property is big so the people are distributed quite well, but a lot kf people "reserve" beds at the beach so you basically have no chance when you are a social person, haha. The restaurant and bar are great, just really expensive compared to bars / restaurants 100m away. This results in a really empty bar/restaurant, such a shame because they have the best spot on the beach.
Superb 😀 - Everything was good, location, breakfast, Spa, restaurant. 😞 - None
Exceptional 😀 - Fantastic room for the money.hotel in great location on a nice stretch of the beach. Fantastic pool. Another great benefit was a 7/11 directly outside to keep costs down abit. 😞 - Overall breakfast was great but most of the hot food was cold.cold fried eggs errr.... Did not eat in the hotel much during our stay but the odd time we did we found the food just OK.
There are better places to stay in Ko-Chang, unless you stay in their beach bungalows at $$$. 😀 - good location right on the beach. 😞 - Compared to other 5-star hotels, I would rate the breakfast buffet on a scale of 7 out of 10. Lounge beds around the pool facing the ocean should have a time limit so other guests can also use them throughout the day. Had to change the room after the first night because of the sewage smell all day and night. The facility is kinda old and not maintained well. The gym is inadequately equipped.
Good 😀 - Great pool and great beach 😞 - Stayed in Delux garden room. Good size room but main light switch panel behind pillows on bed, neither safe nor convenient and the shower (over bath) needs updating
