Siam Beach Resort occupies the prime, private location at the northern end of Lonely Beach on Koh Chang. The location, about 400 metres north from the nearest resort ensures that guests enjoy peace and quiet. However you are paying for the location rather than quality of resort.

Although there is plenty of late night bars and restaurants at the backpacker area at the southern end of the beach, most guests come here to unwind, laze on the beach and swim in the sea rather than to party. It is therefore very popular with families and guests of all ages.
All rooms have AC, western bathroom, cable TV an are furnished in a bright contemporary tropical style. Plus all have sea views. Between the low rise hotel blocks and the beach lies the swimming pool with large jacuzzi and sun deck.
However, pride of place at Siam Beach Resort goes to the handful of pool villas where you can literally step out of your room and onto the beach or enjoy a soak in the private plunge pool as you watch the sun go down. These are some of the best value pool villas on the island.
Despite some maintenance issues and rogue monkeys that like to steal food or belongings from balconies, it is a good all round 3 star resort for a mid-price family holiday. But as with many other decade old resorts, it is looking a bit tired in places and despite the staff being friendly, many guests have issues with rooms not being cleaned properly or staff not being as efficient as in other resorts.
Bad accommodation 😀 - First two Villas we were allocated were a disgrace. We have travelled around Thailand for several months now and these were the worst rooms by far. Eventually we changed to a modern room which was smaller but at least my wife could sleep at night. 😞 - Villas with outside pool. Do not book these rooms

Beautiful but boring and unfriendly because not to many Thai people. 😀 - Beautiful location. Some of the staff very friendly. Rooms always clean. 😞 - Most of the staff unfriendly. Beds are hard. No water pressure in the shower. Staff was lying about refund of cancelled nights. 7 nights more than enough for the whole island.

😀 - On a lovely beach and staff very nice 😞 - Hotel run down in parts needs lots of money spending on it to get it up to a good standard we had pool villa which was in need of repairs the best thing about the hotel is the location on a beautiful beach

Good 😀 - Great location. It's the best beach on Koh Chang. The room was spacious. Breakfast was excellent. 😞 - This hotel's best days are behind it. But what is needed the most is a man with a bucket of paint and a brush. They started renovation so it seems that it will be better soon. There aren't any lawn chairs. You sit on sand or bring your own chairs. It's a shame. There are aggressive monkeys visiting the resort even trying to get into rooms. Staff is fighting those monkeys with sticks and airguns which raises some excitement among guests.

Exceptional 😀 - It was our second visit and it was great. Everything was on top like 1st time. Food was very delicious, specially fried fish. Staff is extremally friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place to pet owners. 😞 - The major issue of this place are macaques (monkeys). Males are aggressive. Keep the doors and windows locked and watch your belongings. Do not leave your pets unattended.
