Fines Times Resort fill a gap in the villa rental market on Koh Chang. Instead of focusing on high end properties or just trying to get monthly or yearly rentals, this collection of studio, one bedroom and family bungalows and houses offer self catering for very reasonable rates.

Fine Times Resort was originally built as longstay accommodation with bungalows rented out monthly or yearly. However they have since pivoted, built additional houses and now offer simple bungalows and houses for visitors who want more space or to cook for themselves and are on a limited budget.
The resort is located off the main road about 5 minutes walk from the northern end of Klong Prao beach. The original villas are built on a hillside. Down below there’s a motley collection of multi-coloured bungalows. These are the cheapest options at around 1200 – 1400 Baht/night during High Season. But they also have a small but well equipped kitchen area.
On the opposite side of the access road lie the more modern one bedroom bungalows. These are much smarter in appearance and set in a pleasant garden area. They are a few hundred baht more expensive.
Finally there are the larger villas on the hillside which are suitable for families. These are the oldest buildings but also have the best location. Pleasant jungle views and usually with a cool breeze.
Fine Times Resort is a good example of filling a need that some visitors have to cater for themselves and save money by staying off the beach. The houses are cleaned daily and the owners live on site so are always around to help visitors make arrangements for trips or onward travel. Prices are low and value is high. The beach is only 5 minutes walk away, as are a bank, supermarket and good choice of shops and restaurants.
Recommended if you don’t need all the facilities that a resort offers, such as buffet breakfast and a swimming pool & want a kitchen to prepare your own meals.

The location is perfect to wander around the island, the bungalow is actually pretty big, there is a barbecue outside, the kitchen is a big + if you like to cook like we do, they rent scooters as well so it makes it sooo easy when you arrive! The host was also nice to us and replied fast by WhatsApp when we questions. It is very close to a beach and many other on the island. Thank you for making our stay perfect 🙏 😞 - None

Very disappointing 😀 - - 5 nights = 0 cleaning, the staff said that they clean once a week. I have booked dozens of hotels on this app and its the first time I am seing that. No cleaning utensils or products either and we did 5 nights with the same 2 towels. - Nothing like the pictures, its not a villa but a very old regular bungalow like you have everywhere on the island for half the price. - A/C is only in the bedroom which mean the main room is always super hot, you dont have any chair or real table that you can use in the main room, the only place you can sit is outside or on the bed. - Broken TV - Slow wifi - The small old guy at the reception (owner I guess) doesn't want you to pay on Booking but doesn't want credit card either and get mad because you have to go an ATM to pay him. - If I hadn't booked 5 nights I would have left from the first, luckily after these 5 nights I moved to another hotel 5 minutes further where I paid twice as much for twice the quality. 😞 - None

Overpriced. 😀 - The bed is very comfortable and the location is great. 😞 - Very surprised by the comments, they do not make sense. I'm sorry for writing this. AC does not reach the "living room" from the bedroom, so it's impossible to sit there. The place is old and can use renovation. Ants in the kitchen the minute you open food. It's.... ok. 6/10, maybe 7. You can get a hotel room 2 minutes away with a pool, gym, clean sheets every day and breakfast for the same price. We did.

A little bit of paradise on an island 😀 - The solitude, listening to the sound of the birds and geckos, enjoying the occasional rain shower, all of the above was therapeutic. The bungalow was neat and clean and had a huge fridge, cooking outside on the deck was just awesome. It's just great. 😞 - Nothing to not like from me . I'm sure there are some people who would have a list of complaints about things that are not there, but I think what is there is enough.
