Accommodation at Peninsula Beach Resort is in spacious 50sqm suites which are ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway.  This is more of a resort for couples than families.

Nearby, there’s a 40 meter infinity pool and the Beach Bistro restaurant, where breakfast is served. Guests can enjoy a beautiful view on the Gulf of Thailand from the sunbeds in their private garden area which fronts onto the sand.

50sqm Beachfront junior Suite at Peninsula Beach Resort, Koh Chang

There is only one type of room , the Beachfront Junior Suites.  These have a king size bed with high-end bedding, a coffee maker, flat screen TV, and a sofa with a coffee table. A spacious bathroom has a large walk-in shower, two sinks, and a toilet. There are 2 large  wardrobes available in the suite, one in the bedroom, the second one in a bathroom.

The relaxing surroundings and the proximity of the National Park make Beachfront Junior Suite a perfect choice for families and couples. They can enjoy watching the waves of the bay and the spectacular sunsets from their own private garden.  Those traveling in a group can book connecting suites. Up to 3 Junior Suites can be connected together.

Siam Royal Bay have a free shuttle bus for residents which stops at the resort.  Guests can use it to go down to the beach or to different areas of the development, for example to the Shambala beach bar and pool at the southern end of the development. Or to the disc golf course, which is a fun way to spend the day for adults and older kids. Or to the local village where guests can shop for basics and go to the 7-eleven.

Room rates are usually around 4,000 – 5,000 Baht/night at Peninsula Beach Resort, which is competitive for a boutique resort with very spacious rooms and access to a lot of facilities.  The main downside is that although the beach is long at Siam Royal View, it’s not as good as the beaches further down the west coast of Koh Chang.

And there isn’t much within walking distance.  So not ideal if you want o be able to walk around in the evening and visit a choice if small local restaurants or go to a different bar every night.   For that you will need to take a taxi to White Sand beach, around 10 minutes drive away.

Also within the Siam Royal View development, you’ll find Little Sunshine Resort and Marina Sands Resort. These both get excellent reviews, so are also worth comparing.

Exceptional 😀 - The location is beyond beautiful, the facilities first class. Everything was spotless including the beach, swimming pool and surroundings. Friendly staff take care of all your needs 😞 - Having to go home at the end of the vacation.

Disappointing hotel. 😀 - Quiet location. 😞 - Difficult to get from Airport to Ferry terminal and then from ferry terminal to hotel. Expecting 'Peninsula' style service which didn't happen. Limited Breakfast - advertised as excellent.

Needs more accommodating front office staff. Good views but poor breakfast. 😀 - Nice views of the hills and sea views from the room. Spacious room ( stayed in junior suite) and patio outside. Flat beach and can walk along the ocean. 😞 - Horrible breakfast spread ( everything offered was poor quality) . At approx 5000 baht per night - one expects more from a resort in Thailand. Furniture in the room looks tired and worn out. Even on the occasion of a long weekend getting over and koh Chang emptying out - late checkout request for additional 2 hours was denied ( just for me to come back from a day trip and take a shower). First they said resort fully booked and then asked for 2000 baht to accommodate. If resort fully booked then how will they accommodate with more money?

Exceptional 😀 - The accommodation has easy access to beach, swimming pool and restaurant. Room was spacious and loved the shower. 😞 - Being first time to this particular resort it was a little confusing to understand how things work as regards checkin and as a matter interest there was no response to message sent via the Booking site. There was a small party going on one night I stayed in next door room until quite late. It does mean if you are expecting a relaxed even romantic stay then this can happen.
