Businesses For Sale

SOLD Located Shop / Restaurant / Homestay in Lonely Beach For Sale

koh chang shop restaurant business for sale

This long established small business occupies one of the prime roadside locations in Lonely Beach.   You couldn’t hope for a spot with more passing foot traffic.

Since opening several years ago it has been run as a combination of a restaurant, homestay and hand made clothes and jewellry shop.   The clothes sold are unique, all designed by the current owner.   The business is run to allow the owner and her daughter to enjoy 6 months of the year in Thailand.   It isn’t run solely as a money making project more to allow the owner to enjoy the laid back lifestyle Lonely Beach has to offer.   However, her daughter is now at an age where schooling is important and so spending 6 months a year on Koh Chang is no longer realistic. This easy to run business in a great location is therefore for sale.

On the groundfloor, with frontage on the main road there is a shop unit with sliding glass panel doors that can securely lock or can be open wide.   Adjacent is a restaurant area which in the past has been sued for all day breakfasts and as a quiet coffee shop / meeting place.   At the rear is a kitchen are and laundry / bathroom.   Upstairs overlooking the main road is a covered deck and two simple bedrooms that are rented out in High Season for guests who want a friendlier, more homestay type of experience than they would get in a regular backpacker bungalow resort. At the rear is another deck overlooking the garden and basic   owner and   staff accommodation.

The garden area was landscaped and planted with tropical plants but is overgrown in the photos due to it not being tended during the rainy season.   With a bit of effort and a few tables and chairs this could be made into   a nice, shady dining area or chill out lounge.   With a larger investment building several huts on the land would also be possible.

There is one staff, a Thai lady who has worked for the current owner for several years and   lives onsite   with her husband, they would probably stay on for a new owner, but this can’t be guaranteed.
