Look on a map of Koh Chang and you’ll see there’s a large bay in the south-east of the island. A bay that surprisingly few visitors actually make it to. But either rent a scooter or car for the day and head round there and you will be glad you did. There’s none of the tourist crap that you see on the west coast and you’ll see some local life plus great views and , if you want a bit more adventure, a couple of very nice beaches. Then there’s a beautiful temple mural, waterfalls & mangrove walkway – which is currently under re-construction as the original wooden structure has pretty much collapsed.
Ian,
I was on that side of the Island on my first visit and it was amazing. You are absolutely right about it being well worth the effort to get there.
Cheers,
Skipper
