If the name sounds familiar then it is because this is now the third island named ‘Koh Mapring’ I have visited. This one though is also well visited by tourists. It lies just off the southernmost beach of Koh Rang. An easy 100 metres swim across clear, sheltered, shallow sea. As with the other main snorkelling destinations, the island itself holds no attractions. You are here for the underwater world.
Worth Visiting? Yes. And you probably will if you take a snorkelling trip. Having a great beach within easy swimming distance of the island just adds to the attraction.
