Last week two young killer whales were rescued from fishermen’s nets in Salakphet Bay, Koh Chang. It is extremely rare, pretty much unheard of in fact, to see these creatures in the waters around Koh Chang and to date there have been no reported sightings of their parents.
No-one seems to know where they came from and exactly how they ended up in the nets. This video was taken at the private aquarium on Koh Chang where they are being looked after. One is more seriously injured than the other, both are being nursed back to health by vets from Bangkok and National Park staff.
