I love it at Noren Resort! The only place that you want to be when you’re in Koh Chang.
It’s a great getaway that’s a world away from the busy streets of Bangkok. Everything is excellent. It’s easy to go to the market, have a Thai massage, walk to the beach, and so on and so forth. Plus, they offer a transfer from the airport to the resort to make sure that their guests will have a hassle-free experience.
Upon our arrival, we were given a glass of cold water by one of the resort’s attendants at the reception area. Our room was already ready when we checked-in, around 3pm. We arrived there during the weekend, so it was extremely busy. Still, I appreciated the effort of the resort’s staff to not let us wait for too long so we could go check out the room quickly.
It was a sunny afternoon in Koh Chang when we arrived. After we have checked-in, we immediately unpacked and went for a swim in the pool to cool off. The owner of the resort, Martin, went out of his way to make sure that all of his guests are taken care of, including us. I spoke to some people who were staying there for the fourth or fifth time and i can see why. He treats everyone like family. Very impressed with his hands on style and respect he got from and he gave the staff.
The resort has more than 15 separate bungalows that offer privacy and strong Internet connection that’s free of charge. The bungalows are all air-conditioned. Each one has its own sitting and work areas. It also comes with cable TV and a mini-bar.
Their complimentary breakfast is sent to the room. How’s the food? I loved it. Their chef must know how to please their guests as we always eat tasty breakfast each time. Plus, it comes in good portion sizes.
The resort’s pool has a separate area for toddlers. This is truly great news for parents who come here with younger kids. I love that they provided such for the safety of the children swimming in their pool. The pool’s surrounding is well-maintained and thoroughly cleaned by their staff. You could see one of them cleaning the pool when there’s no one swimming in it.
They also provided convenient umbrellas for us to get shade from the extreme heat of the sun, especially when you hang out in the pool in the mid-afternoon.
And if you get thirsty after a few minutes of swimming in their pool, you could order a drink and take it with you by the poolside or drink it in the bar.
The resort isn’t really remote, it's by the road at the south end of the village. But usually traffic noise isn't an issue.
Noren Resort in Koh Chang is truly a great, perfect small resort to have relaxing vacation in Thailand. We did enjoy our time here and hope to return one day soon.
