Paradise Homestay is a located on the pier in Bangbao fishing village. It allows guests to see some local life. It offers simple, inexpensive fan and AC rooms and a large deck overlooking the bay
The pier in Bangbao village is home to numerous small guesthouses , the pick of the bunch is probably Paradise Homestay. It isn’t a fancy, luxurious place. It is a wooden building that is decorated with the owners’ collections of artifacts and photos. So whilst the rooms are private you get a feeling of staying in a family home.
There are two types of rooms available and both are under 1,000 Baht/night. The Fan bungalows are very small and have a shared bathroom, so more suited for people who really are saving their pennies. You can pay a little more and get an air-conditioned room with ensuite bathroom instead. The rooms are spotlessly clean and just have basic furniture and no television. ( The thin walls of a wooden room or bungalow make having a TV too noisy for other guests.)
The highlight of the home stay, aside from the friendly owners, is the large communal deck by the sea. This is a great spot to read, sunbathe or work and is a prime spot for watching the sunset. The home stay also has a bar and small restaurant by the deck which serve up Thai and seafood dishes plus a range of cocktails. Guests can also rent a kayak to explore or paddle across the bay to Klong Kloi beach.
Recommended as an budget option for people who don’t want to stay in a backpacker enclave.
