Flood in Kai Bae Today

Just  a short video of the flood in the centre of Kai Bae.  Although it looks as though the truck is driving across the top of a waterfall  – it is in fact a bridge.  Note the white markers which indicate the far side of the bridge.

This is the main river in the village but as you can see the bridge over the river isn’t really built to cope with heavy rain.  If the drainage pipes under the road get blocked with branches and other debris then the flood can be much larger and inundate nearby homes and bars – as happened just over a week ago.
