Continuing on from the photos of the northern section of the beach.  In the centre of Kai Bae, just after Coral Resort and also on the mini peninsula is Nang Nual Resort with a handful of good value bungalows and it’s ladyboy seafood restaurant – with nightly lip synching show.

Then comes Kai Bae Hut with its speedboat business and the far nicer KB Resort, probably the best place to stay in the area.  Adjacent is Kai Bae Beach Resort and then Mam Kai Bae and Kai Bae Grandville, a hotel block on the hill.  As you near the southern end of the beach you reach Porn’s Bungalows, the only real backapacker accommodation and the large and ever expanding Sea View Resort.

The southernmost resort is Siam Bay Resort, which has it’s beachfront bungalows directly in front of Seaview’s hotel block.   Just offshore lies the island of Koh Mak Nai, which is a 5 minute canoe paddle or a short walk away at low tide.   The best stretch of beach in this area is outside Sea View Resort where the sea bed is devoid of rocks & coral that is found 50 metres offshore along the rest of the beach.
