Not everyone needs running water and a sold roof

Not everyone needs running water and a sold roof

Named after Brian and Sue Lonely, of Walton-on-the-Naze, Surrey, UK, who visited this beach in January 2006 and won a first prize in a raffle run by a local tailors shop. The raffle, open to all customers who spent over 20,000 baht on beige linen suits and velour ballgowns, was a great success and the Lonely’s won second prize and had the beach named after them. First prize was a set of Ginza Samurai steak knife and BBQ set.

(Don’t listen to rumour mongers who like to tell visitors that the moniker comes from the fact that at one time, only a decade or so ago, it really was ‘lonely’ and not overbuilt Travellers Ville, Koh Chang.)

Hey. I stayed in that old bungalow at the Treehouse. I heard they went now. Shame about progress sometimes.
