White Sand Beach
White Sand is the nearest Koh Chang has got
to a Patong or Pattaya. There's a whole range of accommodation from hippy
hangouts to all mod cons luxury. (The beach at the north end is great.
The idea of this gallery is to help you get your bearings once you arrive, hence
the pics of the street rather than soft focus sunsets which are about as much
help as a chocolate teapot to someone trying to get their bearings.

White Sand Beach is KC Grande. Don't be put off by the name they have cheapy huts by the beach as well as the posh bungalows. The north end of
White Sand Beach has by far the best stretch of beach. Avoid the southern end if you enjoy the feling of white powdery stuff between your toes. At low tide you can walk further but most of the time this is as far as you can walk up
White Sand Beach beach. 'Independent Bo's' - a little hippy haven at the north end of the beach. Next door, Star Beach has hillside bungalows which virtually overhang the beach. Just south of KC Grande, 15 Palms beach bar welcomes the footie loving, cold beer drinking crowd Moving south from 15 Palms on the roadside is the new Cookie hotel, Nice views & great restaurant opposite. How much money do bungalow operators make? Cookie built a hotel, so Mac has followed - the new Mac Resort is almost complete - backpackers shouldnt bother asking the price. A shopper's paradise? You bet it is. You want a Linkin Park T-shirt for the kids, bikini for the wife and a pair of flip-flops for yourself? You got it. The sand is starting to peter out and we're getting into ' wrinkled couples in deckchairs' territory near the centre of
White Sand Beach.
