Noren Resort
From 2,500 Baht/night. Noren Resort is a small mid-price resort by the roadside at the southern end of Klong Prao village. The bungalows are very nicely appointed and facilities include a small restaurant and pool area. Local shops and restaurants are only 2 minutes walk away.
Magic Resort
From 1,300 Baht/night. Magic Resort is most definitely more of a ‘Thai style’ beach bungalow resort. It’s the sort of place you stay when you want to park outside your bungalow, plug in the rice cooker and crank up the mobile karaoke machine. So definitely value for money bungalows but not for everyone.
VJ Residence
From 1,100 Baht/night. VJ Residence is located in Klong Prao village at the rear of Klong Prao temple. Apartment style rooms with aircon, cable TV and a pool in the car park. Good option if other resorts are full or you want to save money by being off the beach.
Tiger Hut
From 600 Baht/night. Tiger Huts offers very basic accommodation in ensuite fan bungalows in a quiet area of Klong Prao beach. Most backpackers head to the busier areas such as Lonely Beach where they can be with hundreds of similar travellers. If you want a quieter hut set back a few metres from a much better beach then head here.
Koh Chang Resort
Room rates from 2,000 Baht. Koh Chang Resort and Spa is undoubtedly in a great location. But that’s pretty much it. An aging, fading resort that seems to cater to guests with similar characteristics.
