Room rates from 1,600 Baht. Rayang Island Resort, as the name suggests, is on the picturesque, private island of Koh Rayang, a 5 minute boat ride from Koh Mak. This small bungalow resort provides a true ‘Robinson Crusoe’ experience for intrepid travellers who want to get away from it all.
White Sand Beach Resort
Room rates from 1,500 Baht. White Sand Beach Resort is located at the far northern end of White Sand beach and is a good value beachfront resort. Simple AC bungalows on a beautiful beach. 10 minutes walk along the sand to the busier area of White Sands.
Ramayana Resort
From 2,300 Baht/night. Ramayana Resort isn’t located on the beach but does provide a free shuttle service to the beach for guests who want to enjoy a 4 star standard of accommodation but also are looking to save considerably on beachfront room rates.
Panviman Koh Chang Resort
Room rates from 7,100 Baht/night. Panviman Resort is located in the centre of Klong Prao beach. This is one of the quietest areas of beach on Koh Chang, even in high season you will only see a couple of dozen people out of the beach within a few hundred metres of the resort. Expensive but you will be on the quietest stretch of beach on the west coast of the island.
Warapura Resort
Room rates from 2,150 Baht. Warapura Resort on Lonely Beach is probably the nicest mid-size, mid-price resort on the island. The rooms are well designed, nothing ostentatious or over the top. Just a simple, but stylish design with whitewashed exteriors and interiors. If you like a bit of lively nightlife nearby but need some comfort and quiet during the day, check it out.
Keereeta Resort
From 1,700 Baht/night. Keereeta Resort was one of the first real boutique hotels on the island. No doubt about it, it is a lovely design with all rooms being individually furnished and decorated. The rooms represent good value for money. Service is the main negative according to many reviews. If you can look after yourself and don’t have to be on the beach, then it is a good bet.
Tropicana Resort
Room rates from 4,000 Baht/night. Koh Chang Tropicana Resort is one of the most popular resorts on Klong Prao beach. Accommodation in spacious bungalows or new hotel rooms. But a small beachfront that gets busy in high season. Convenient location though and a safe bet if you aren’t sure which hotel to choose.
Aana Resort and Spa
From 2,900 Baht/night. Aana Resort is located just off Klong Prao beach on the Klong Plu river estuary. It’s hidden away, out of sight of the main road and with no loud bars, tailor shops, tour agents etc nearby. Good option if you like peace and quiet on an estuary most visitors to the island never see. ( You can also wave to us, our house is opposite.)
Changburi Resort and Spa
From 1,700 Baht/night. Changburi Resort & Spa is basically two separate resorts. By the beach you have accommodation in luxury villas. On the opposite side of the road are the Hillside rooms and a large pool. If you don’t need to be on the beach then these are as good value as you will get on Koh Chang.
