River Canoeing in Klong Prao

Handcrafted by on November 27, 2009 No Comment

Kayaking on Koh Chang river

The Klong Prao and Klong Plu rivers converge in an estuary in the centre of Klong Prao beach.  Whilst quite a few people rent kayaks and paddle around aimlessly a couple of hundred metres offshoire, very few bother to paddle down into the estuary past the fisheman’s houses. They probably dont realise that could see elephants taking a bath down here.

You’re a world away from the noise of White Sand Beach, well worth spending an hour or so exploring – but visit at high tide, at low tide the rivers are too shallow to be passable in High Season.
