Room rates from 2,500 Baht

Siam Beach Resort occupies the prime, private location at the northern end of Lonely Beach on Koh Chang.  It has metamorphosised from  backpacker huts to a good 3 star, with 4 star aspirations, in only a few short years.

The location, about 400 metres north from the nearest resort ensures that guests enjoy peace and quiet.

Although there is plenty of late night bars and restaurants at the backpacker area at the southern end of the beach, most guests come here to unwind, laze on the beach and swim in the sea rather than to party. It is therefore very popular with families and guests of all ages.

All rooms have AC, western bathroom, cable TV an are furnished in a bright contemporary tropical style.  Plus all have sea views.  Between the low rise hotel blocks and the beach lies the swimming pool with large jacuzzi and sun deck.

However, pride of place at Siam Beach Resort goes to the handful of pool villas where you can literally step out of your room and onto the beach or enjoy a soak in the private plunge pool as you watch the sun go down.

In addition to the hotel rooms and villas there are also remnants of the old backpacker days in the form of wooden ,airconditioned bungalows which occupy the hillside above the resort.  These are a bit faded but are available to rent for anyone on a budget for only 1,000 baht/night.  Don’t expect anything other than a basic bungalow, but the views are definitely 5 star.

Good all round resort for a mid-price family holiday – but as with other resorts in the area getting out and about to other beaches  can be a bit of a hassle as the shared pick-up truck taxis don’t run as frequently as they do on the busier beaches to the north, and that is the only real downside.

Above rates include all Taxes and Service Charge and are subject to change without prior notice. All room rates include Breakfast for two and are per room / villa, not per person. Children 5-10 years old sharing bed with parents will be charged 150 baht / day for breakfast

Long weekend rates are also charged on: 5-7 Dec, 4-6 Apr, 1-5 May, 28-30 May

There is a compulsory New Year’s party charge of 2000 baht per person on Dec. 31st and a Christmas dinner charge of 1500 baht per person on the 24th of Dec. There is a 50% discount on these special celebrations charges for children under 12 years old and no charge for toddlers under 5.
