Noren Resort is a small bungalow resort by the roadside at the southern end of Klong Prao village.  The bungalows are very nicely appointed and facilities include a small restaurant and pool area.  Local shops and restaurants are only 2 minutes walk away.

However the rooms are very close together, built on a grid and getting to the beach entails walking about 400 metres through the nearby Blue Lagoon Bungalows.  No real views from the bungalows but anyone driving along the main road can stare at you sunbathing by the pool.

For the same price you could have  a beachfront bungalow at a different resort,  so  despite the Swedish management and very nice rooms, it’s hard to see it as a first choice for anyone visiting Koh Chang for the first time, as most will want to be by the beach if possible.  But given the lack of small, well run mid price resorts on Koh Chang, it is still a very popular place for couples and families looking to avoid package tourists.
