Chai Chet Resort

chaichetFrom 1,800 Baht/night

Chai Chet Resort is located in a superb location on the headland overlooking Klong Prao beach.  Whilst the resort doesn’t have any actual beachfront, it is only a 2 minute walk to the beach from the reception area.

This resort is very popular with Thai groups, so before you book check that you aren’t staying over  a long weekend of Thai public holiday as the resort will be packed out and room rates higher.  The resort doesn’t offer as many frills as other beach bungalow resorts right on the sand and the rooms obviously have never been touched by an interior designer, and are a bit dated but with AC bungalows for under 2,000 baht/night in high season it’s a good combination of location, views and price.

In late 2009 new Sea View Villas with amazing views across the bay were added.  These are very spacious and for 3,600 Baht/night are better value than similar accommodation in many other resorts.  rocky headland is a great place to watch the sunset and the resort also has it’s own jungle trekking trail that takes you along  a path that runs by the some before cutting back over the headland to the resort.  All the shops, restaurants you need are close by on the main road which is a couple of minutes walk away.

The Googlemap below is outdated, it doesn’t show the new pool area, reception, restaurant and Sea View Villas.

Room Rates for 2011-12: From around 1,700 Baht High Season
