Room rates from 4,300 baht

Barali Beach Resort is one of those places that could, and really should, do much better.  It’s got a good location, the rooms are pretty good, yet it’s as though the management just can’t be arsed making the effort to do things better and instead appear to feel that due to the above two factors they have no need to.

The could do better attitude is one that is commented on by many guests, spacious bright bungalows with rainfall showers and sunken bathtubs but in need of some attention.  Plus staff that, whilst doing their best, obviously haven’t been trained up to a 4 star standard, which they should be given the room rates being asked.

So the location is good, the resort is pretty good, the prices are a bit high given that much better reviewed hotels are similar or cheaper. Adjacent to Tropicana Resort, but as Tropicana has now expanded, try Barali if you prefer the smaller resort feel.

(You’ll see on the satellite photo that it looks like it is next to  large construction site.  Don’t worry, there’s no work going on there, it stopped about 5 years ago.  Just vacant land land with a small beach bar about 100 metres north of the hotel.)
