Silk Making

If you've never seen how silk is made then it's worth seeking out some of the small villages where the locals still do things the old fashioned way.  Ban Pa Ngat, where most of these photos were taken is famous for it's silk which now, following advice from HM The Queen, only uses natural dyes rather than chemical dyes favoured by most silk makers.  Thai princess,HRH Ubolratana, is a regular visitor to the village.

Outside the City museum in Khon Kaen, ask a Chinese person to explain the relevance to you.

Silk Village

This village is one of the ever decreasing number that farm their own silkworms.

A dam - this one is north of Khon Kaen, nice spot for lunch
